The certificate was made possible thanks to the implication and dedication of the staff to meeting environmental challenges

EMSA, the Adeje Municipal Services Company, has been granted an ISO 14001:2015 environmental certificate following a full audit carried out by AENOR. The certificate is a demonstration of the commitment of the company to the protection of the environment.

For the councillor linked to the EMSA, Esther Rivero Vargas, “this certification has been made possible thanks to the dedication and commitment of the staff at all times, who are working to reduce and eliminate environmental risks during the course of their work on a daily basis”.

This qualification, along with the developmental certificate (ISO 9001:2015), and that related to information security (ISO 27001:2013), both of which were granted in 2019 and continue to be validated annually, make the EMSA “a model company”.

This new certificate commits the company to on-going progression and evaluation within their teams and the work they are undertaking. It also indicates the presence of in-house actions being carried out in staff training, meeting all the standards as laid down, control of water and energy use, management of water materials and recycling and the selection of the most environmentally friendly cleaning / chemical products in the course of any work being carried out.

There is also a commitment to the preservation of bio-diversity, dealing with requests for information and any complaints regarding the environment, and the putting in place of plans to deal with any environmental emergencies.
