The Adeje department of Culture, under councillor María Clavijo Maza, continues to offer a range of cultural and artistic events throughout June, under all the necessary restrictions and guidelines. Concerts and productions are taking place in the Adeje school of music auditorium, and include performances designed for children.

The councillor commented, “We are continuing to support cultural activities and see these as fundamental to our society, for the development of the individual.  During last year’s lockdown we said that culture is an essential part of our society and we are reiterating that this summer, as a local body, supporting the many many families too that depend on the arts for a living, as well as audiences”.

The full range of events is available on the council webpage, www.adeje.es, and tickets can be bought online through Tomaticket. In line with existing Covid protocols, group tickets must be for members of the same family, and under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.

Some of June’s offerings include a Canarian evening of music and poetry, on June 12th, a children’s show, El Reino de Caramelo (King of the Sweets) on June 19th and the month closes with a concert with, among others, timple master Benito Cabrera, with a night of music, percussion, and tap promised.
