Twenty-four public and private companies dedicated to labour market inclusion recently met in Adeje with the aim of increasing their specialisation in employment promotion. This AGM of the Tenerife Technical Employment Network took place at the Costa Adeje Tourism Development Centre (CDTCA), with the aid of Adeje Town Hall.

The meeting brought together guidance professionals, employment technicians and labour market prospecting staff, who addressed recruitment processes, onboarding and workforce disengagement, as well as the impact of age and bias in these processes. The aim was to improve these stages of the employment pathway through discussion with the business sector.

The Councillor for Economic Activity and Employment, Mercedes Vargas Delgado, highlighted the importance of the network and of meetings of this kind, whose main objective is for professionals in the sector to share criteria, together with private companies seeking talent, knowledge and experience, and to contribute to the evolution and improvement of labour market inclusion processes.

Meanwhile, the Councillor for Economic Development, Alberto Álvarez Jiménez, underlined the important work carried out by all participants for the economic and social development of Tenerife and for making the island’s labour environment “more inclusive, dynamic and prepared”.

The meeting included presentations by the human resources management specialist at Canarian Hospitality, María Isabel Almandoz, and the area leader at Eurofirms Canarias, Conchi Bravo. Both presentations focused on recruitment processes, with the aim of reaching agreement on procedures, effective practices and challenges facing the business.
