Adeje Town Hall has presented the Christmas programme for the coming weeks, with a wide range of cultural, musical, traditional and family activities, all of which can be consulted in detail on line. New additions this year include a life-size nativity scene in the Espacio de Historia y Arte El Barranco, a fibre skating rink in Los Olivos and the first edition of the Blue Market Adeje.
With the aim of supporting local businesses, this year Adeje Town Hall’s Department of Economic Development has introduced a fibre skating rink that will be open from 2 to 9 December, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, in the Plaza Tierra Lavada (Los Olivos).
Another new initiative comes from Adeje Town Hall’s Department of Tourism, which has organised the first edition of Blue Market Adeje 2025, a fair dedicated to contemporary crafts, fashion and gastronomy. It will take place on 5, 6 and 7 December in the Plaza Salytien from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm. In addition to this fair, Adeje will once again host the Mercadillo de Adviento de la Asociación San Juan from 9 to 21 December, open Monday to Friday from 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm and weekends from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.
In recent years, Adeje has become known for its significant nativity route, with more groups and neighbourhoods taking part each year. This edition includes a life-size nativity scene located in the Espacio de Historia y Arte El Barranco, in the Plaza España in Adeje. It will be inaugurated on 14 December at 6:00 pm with the participation of the Grupo de la Escuela de Folclore de Adeje.
In addition to this nativity scene, the Adeje seniors’ collective is preparing its traditional diorama located in the Calle Grande. Other groups presenting nativity scenes include the Asociación de Vecinos de La Postura, the neighbourhood of Las Nieves and La Viña.
Throughout the month there will also be traditional events such as the cantos de divinos and musical performances in different neighbourhoods. Among the highlight musical events is the Christmas concert by Los Sabandeños on 13 December at 8:00 pm in the Auditorio de Adeje. On 17 December the concert “Unidos por la Navidad” (“United for Christmas”) will take place at 8:30 pm in the Plaza España, featuring the Banda del Patronato Musical de la Histórica Villa de Adeje and the Escuela de Música, Danza y Artes Escénicas.
The Adeje Children’s Christmas Park (PINA) will change location this year and will be set up in the Pabellón de Las Torres, a larger space that will allow for greater capacity and more activities. The PINA will be open from 23 December to 4 January, from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. It will be closed on 24, 25 and 31 December and on 1 January. The official opening will be on 23 December at 5:00 pm with the arrival of Santa Claus.
