The restaurant Saikou won the Gold Tapa thanks to its creation La ola marinera (the seafaring wave), which received 287 votes out of the 1,368 cast by the public during the Tapa Route, held in the Adeje Centre Open Commercial Zone, one of the main events of the Degusta.me Adeje 2025 Gastronomic Shows.
The awards ceremony took place at the Costa Adeje Tourism Development Centre (CDTCA), where the work of the 17 participating establishments was recognised. These establishments sold more than 6,000 tapas.
Following the vote count, the second prize, the Silver Tapa, went to Pica Pica La Favorita, with the tapa Capricho Exótico (exotic whim), while the Bronze Tapa was awarded to La Tasquita de Adeje, with the tapa Delirio (delirium). These establishments received a diploma for obtaining the prize and a cheque worth 300, 200 and 100 euros, respectively.
The professional jury awarded the Professional Tapa prize, after a tasting and evaluation of each of the 17 tapas, to the café Pica Pica La Favorita for its Capricho Exótico. This recognition was accompanied by a participation diploma and a cheque for 300 euros.
Prizes for the public
During the event, prizes were also awarded to members of the public who took part in the route, selected from among those who registered at least four valid votes through the web app or the printed leaflets.
The winners will receive vouchers for two-night stays in hotels in the municipality and a breakfast, lunch or dinner for two people in the establishment that won the Professional Tapa.
Adeje Town Hall’s councillor for the Department of Economic Activity Promotion and Employment, Mercedes Vargas Delgado, highlighted that this type of project helps to showcase local businesses and the culinary quality found in the municipality, “which many people did not know, and through this initiative they have actively participated with the different establishments”.
Meanwhile, the Special Councillor for Economic Development and Employment, Alberto Álvarez Jiménez, expressed his gratitude both to the restaurants and cafés that took part in this edition of the gastronomic shows, and to the public “who have collaborated and participated so that this event continues to be held in future editions”.
