The Adeje Town Hall local governing body has approved the rules and registration for a grant to cover expenses arising from livestock activity in Adeje, with an initial budget of 20,000 euros.
The councillors for Economic Promotion and Employment, Mercedes Vargas Delgado and Alberto Álvarez Jiménez, explained that the grant “responds to the rising production costs faced by the primary sector and seeks to ease the burden, sustain activity, and prevent the closure of livestock operations in the municipality.”
The application period will remain open until December 1st 2025. The grants are aimed at livestock businesses and professionals operating in Adeje: owners of sheep, cattle, goat, beekeeping and rabbit farms; and individuals or legal entities (self-employed, micro and small businesses, civil partnerships, communities of assets, and other economic entities without legal personality with an accredited representative).
The grant may be used to invest in livestock equipment and cover necessary expenses incurred between January 1st and December 31st 2025. The amount will be up to 2,000 euros per application, depending on justified expenses.
Minimum requirements include, among others: carrying out the activity in Adeje and being properly established at the time of application; being up to date with AEAT, Social Security, and municipal taxes; not being subject to the prohibitions in Article 13 of the General Subsidies Law; having no pending reimbursements; and submitting only one application per petitioner.
In addition to the application form and responsible declaration, applicants must provide: third-party registration with bank details; certificates of being up to date with AEAT, Social Security, and Canary Islands tax authorities; identification documents and, if applicable, entity representation documents; a budget of expenses to be incurred; and registration or application with the REGAC of the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food Sovereignty.
Applications must be submitted through Adeje Town Hall’s online portal. If needed, the Department of Economic Activity Promotion and Employment, in the CDTCA, is available to provide information and support.
