Adeje Town Hall's Department of Culture, under councillor Adolfo Alonso Ferrera, is strengthening its commitment to digital inclusion with a calendar of free short training sessions, running from October 2025 to February 2026 in Adeje's cultural centres. The sessions, held from 11am to 1pm, will provide people with practical tools to improve their digital skills for everyday life and the workplace.
The programme includes workshops on using the Internet, smartphones, online banking, electronic procedures, digital security, and even artificial intelligence applied to job searching.
Activities will take place at the cultural centres in Fañabé, Armeñime, and La Hoya, bringing digital training closer to the different areas of the municipality. Each module consists of three practical sessions with content tailored to students' everyday needs.
In Fañabé, workshops will cover topics from exploring the Internet to Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, including digital security, online banking, and using ChatGPT.
In Armeñime, training will focus on online procedures with public administrations, digital certificates, and job searching via social media.
In La Hoya, the sessions will cover tools to enhance employability, such as optimising LinkedIn profiles, using ATS filters in CVs, and boosting productivity with Excel.
Classes are in Spanish, they are free but spaces are limited. Interested individuals can register via the online form available on the municipal website,
www.adeje.es.
Through this initiative, the Town Hall aims to help reduce digital barriers and ensure that everyone has access to know-how they need to navigate an increasingly connected environment safely.
