Adeje Town Hall is supporting the integration of women in vulnerable situations into the labour force

The Tajea project aims to improve access to and continuity in the labour market

9 may 2025
Adeje Town Hall is supporting the labour integration of migrant women living in the municipality through the fourth edition of the Tajea project, co-financed by the Tenerife Cabildo. The initiative is designed to help this particularly vulnerable group gain access to the job market.

Councillor for Economic Development and Employment, Alberto Álvarez Jiménez, noted that the third edition of the project assisted 185 women, resulting in 144 job placements in the municipality – significantly surpassing the initial targets.

Regarding this fourth edition, the councillor explained that the main aim is to improve both access to and continuity in employment for women. So far, over 80 participants have been supported, with around 15 job placements achieved. The programme began in December 2024 and will continue through to December 2025.

Among the training activities planned for May are sessions on first aid and the use of semi-automatic defibrillators (DESA). In addition, workshops will focus on updating administrative procedures and documentation.

In the coming weeks, there will also be group sessions covering digital skills, employment readiness and equal opportunities, along with vocational training tailored to sectors with the highest demand.
