Adeje council’s department of Culture, under councillor María Clavijo Maza, in conjunction with MCB Gestión Cultural, is bringing two foreign language productions to the town’s stage, in the Adeje School of Music. Both shows will also have subtitles in Spanish during the productions. Tickets are €8 and on sale through tomaticket.es
Adeje prides itself on being a multicultural borough, with different cultures, and languages, with English and German often heard in our streets and centres. The councillor said, “we think this is a good way of offering our foreign residents a cultural menu, as well as helping us all integrate a little bit more as a community”. Theatre is also a great tool for those learning another language.
The first work is Der Sturm (Shakespeare’s The Tempest), in German, in the Adeje School of Music, on Thursday January 26th, at 8pm. The company are Theatre in Kempton.
On Sunday January 29th audiences can enjoy Sherlock Holmes and The Speckled Band, in English with Spanish subtitles, with the Théâtre Sans Frontières, a professional UK touring troupe, in Adeje for the first time. The performance is at 8pm and is apt for children from 10 years and above.
