Safety first - tree chopped down in Adeje's Plaza de la Cruz de Llano

The bark had been badly affected by a fungus

24 september 2022

The large laurel tree in the Plaza de la Cruz de Llano, at the bottom of the Calle Grande in Adeje town, was chopped down yesterday. The bark has been badly affected by a fungus and this had been planned, but with a weather alert in place, and the experts considering that the bark was unable to sustain the weight of the branches, the decision was taken to move the date forward.

Cars were moved out of the way - they were relocated to the car park by the health centre/post office.
Some of the stems will be replanted, other parts of the trunk and branches have been brought to the Parque Central for future use.
