As part of Easter Week in Adeje, among the many events and acts taking, will be an appreciation of our gastronomy, with a concentration on cooking during Lent. This year the Lenten Tapas route makes a welcome return to the bars, cafes and restaurants of the borough with 13 establishments taking part offering a variety of nibbles with links to Easter Week.
According to councillor for local economic development, Raquel Rodríguez Alonso, “with the revival of the tapas route we are giving added value to the gastronomy of the area, which we have already seen is a perfect setting for culinary creativity”.
The establishments taking part are members of the Adeje open commercial zone, and are in the main Adeje town area, Las Torres, Los Olivos, Las Nieves, La Postura and El Galeón. The price of a tapa will be €2.50 or €3.50 with a drink.
During the same time period, April 8th to 17th, there will be a competition to pick the best tapa, more information online from Friday,
www.rutacuaresma.adeje.es . The prize will be €300. Voters will also be eligible to win a prize of a two-night stay in a 4-star hotel, and a dinner or lunch in the winning restaurant, with 11 other prizes for those who take part in the vote.
