María Herrera and Aldo Paolo, two young musicians from Adeje, have released their single, Slow it Down. Both began their musical studies at the EMMA, the Adeje school of music and dance, though recently have branched out on their own.

Slow it Down is a stylish musical mix, composed by the duo, with R&B overtones from the 90s, lo-fi sounds with additional gospel, rap and pop, styles that have influenced both artists during their musical career.  Aldo worked on the production of the single with known musical producer Hector Santander.

María is a doctor and works in Martinique, Aldo graduated in English and is currently studying for his civil pilots licence, but they still get together, usually at Christmas, to work on their shared passion – music, and the result is the current single.

Councillor with responsibility for the school of music Epifanio Díaz Hernández, said “María Herrera, Aldo Paolo, Ahinoa Aguilar and the now internationally famous Agoney Hernández, along with others, form part of our singing heritage in EMMA, a school that is 100% municipal which, since its inception, has been training hundreds of students in our borough”.

The Adeje School of music in based in Las Torres, has 17 specialised classrooms, a dance studio, rehearsal studios, an auditorium, an audition suite, a recording studio and communal areas.
