In the run up to a celebration of 25 years on air, Radio Sur Adeje is expanding its programme schedule with new music and information programmes on weekdays and weekends.. The station is also planning to travel out of the studio more this year, expanding the reach, going to talk and listen to the people of Adeje.
Adolfo Alonso Ferrera, councillor for communications, says, “In recent months we have been working to expand our programming, covering areas such as equality, youth, our foreign population, older people, and we are working in tandem to adapt to radio’s new realities and reach more people all the time. Our new programming will concentrate specifically on education, training, sports and music”.
The councillor also pointed out that “our local station fulfils a very important public service as we saw during the times of the pandemic and quarantine where the radio was one of the important official channels of communication, something very relevant in times of crisis”.
Among the new programmes is ‘Sport Music’, which returns, with Dani Ramos, Mondays to Fridays from 9am to 10am. Then from 10 David Urbano and Dani offer a slightly different world view, ‘A ver qué onda’, until 11, when Nacho Palacio is on air with ‘Viva la Vida’. The English language programme English Time continues in its Thursday lunchtime slot.
Joining the afternoon slot is Maciel Delgado Linares with her Monday slot on training and education, ‘Entérate’, from 1pm to 1.30, and soon Yolanda Hérnandez will liven up the evenings with ‘Mundo Mundial’, from 4pm – 5pm on weekdays, with news from around the world and classic hits.
