Over 500 individuals, families, companies and volunteers have taken part in the initiative of the Tenerife Sur Rotary Club, Adeje council and Acyre

The “A child, A meal, A book’ Tenerife South Rotary Club project has raised €10,600 with the Adeje Chocolate Belén (nativity scene), which was created in the Adeje Centre for Tourism Development, the CDTCA, in partnership with ACYRE, the association of Canarian pastry chefs and bakers, and Adeje council.
This morning, Tuesday January 4th, the nativity scene was broken into pieces and the donation box was opened. Over 500 families from many different parts of the island came to visit the nativity scene and make a contribution, as did companies and partners. Now the Rotary Club will be in touch with schools in the area to establish the correct criteria for the distribution of the monies raised.
Taking part in this final act were the mayor of Adeje, José Miguel Rodríguez Fraga, the president of the Tenerife South Rotary Club Raquel Arroyo, and the presidents of ACYRE Pablo Pastor, The nativity scene was created using over 240 kilos of chocolate donated by Alcampo, La Laguna.
