Only students wishing to study inside need to make an appointment
9 august 2021
The Adeje public library, based in the Adeje Cultural Centre, is staying open to the public throughout August every morning from 8.15am to 1.45pm. Library card holders can borrow a range of books, films, DVDs or use the library for study purposes.
Those who wish to borrow/return do not need to make a prior appointment, however if you wish to study at one of the library’s tables or use study hall you will need to arrange this in advance via
www.adeje.es .
According to the councillor responsible for the library, Maria Clavijo Maza , “keeping the library open is fundamental as many people wish to continue reading and checking out new content on a regular basis, as well as students who are continuing their studies during the summer”.
You can also use an online lending platform, https://canarias.ebiblio.es/ where you will find a number of new ebook titles for adults and young readers, online films, audio books and music.
At the moment Adeje has 6208 registered library users (4892 adults, 1309 children). “The Adeje library has had its doors open to the public for over two decades and will continue to keep them open as the library is a place for coming together, for learning and a cultural centre”, underlined the councillor.
