The goal is to extend aid and resources to strengthen the business model and entrepreneurship in Adeje

Recently the Adeje council signed an agreement with the Tenerife Sur Rotary Club to develop a co-working zone which will be able to offer resources and aids to those setting up businesses and looking to expand their business planning and co-ordination in Adeje.
Manuel Luis Méndez Martin, councillor for development and employment, signed on behalf of Adeje council, and Rotary president, Juan Diego Mayordomo Martínez, for the Rotary club. Also present were the councillor for youth and modernisation Daniel Melo Rodríguez, the junior councillor at the department of development and jobs Raquel Rodríguez Alonso and the Rotary’s Raquel Arroyo.
Councillor Méndez Martín said, “we are increasingly aware of the importance of working to aid and train our young entrepreneurs and innovators. This is something we are achieving through the departments of youth and economic development, with an action programme geared to assist both young entrepreneurs as well as those currently unemployed who are looking to use their initiative, and have ideas and projects they wish to develop.” The agreement will see the council facilitate the co-workers with the basic tools they need to move their projects ahead, as well as offering a tutored business tool for business projects, and facilitating networking and other parallel actions.
Among the Rotary Club aims are the allocation of a meeting space, for in-person as well as digital encounters, to encourage the growth of a culture of innovation among the local population. “The Rotary Club is working to help in a coordinated and collaborative way with various institutions towards the creation of a society that has a fairer and more balanced socio-economic base”, said the president.
To facilitate future working the Rotary Club and Adeje Council have also established a joint commission to work together on the evolution of this initiative.
