Mónica Santana Project
A native of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Mónica Santana studied singing and guitar from the age of 11, and was introduced to Canarian traditional music. Later on she was a co-founder of the Tabona folk group.  After a few years she extended her repertoire to include island pop sounds, and sang in concerts, musicals, etc. Recently she made a radical shift to the world of jazz, soul and blues.

The quartet bring their own innovative rhythms and beats –at times if feels like there are drums on stage too as the musicians create an  impressive creative and experimental spirit through their melodies and rhythms.

The quartet have been together since 2016, and have always explored diverse styles and sounds, with Latin folklore, African and Canarian influences reflected in their compositions.   Javier Infante is from Gran Canaria and has many albums under his belt, both as a performer and collaborator.
