The Training Restaurant, part of the Integrated Vocational Training Centre CIFP Adej, opens its doors to the public once a week, currently on Tuesdays, as part of the students’ training process. This initiative allows students to apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom in a real working environment, both in the kitchen and in front-of-house service. Reservations can be made by calling 614 002 143 or by email at [email protected]. Menus are published on the centre’s Instagram profile cifp_enadeje and on Facebook at CIFP ADEJE.

At a recent sitting, councillors Manuel Luis Méndez Martín, head of the Department of the Presidency and Territorial Planning, and Patricia Paulsen Fölling, councillor for Tourist Destination and Sustainability, Innovation and Modernisation, were in attendance, there to see first-hand the work carried out by the students.

In total, 41 people were involved in the event, reflecting the centre’s commitment to practical training, coordinated work between departments, and the promotion of gastronomy as part of the municipality’s complementary offer.

The menu changes every Tuesday. The most recent session was designed by lecturer Jacob Vera together with first-year students from the Intermediate Vocational Training Programme in Cooking and Gastronomy, with the collaboration of teaching staff Javier Parra and Santiago Domínguez. Front-of-house service was led by Tania Bolaños as part of the Themed Restaurants project, with the participation of first-year students from the Intermediate Vocational Training Programme in Restaurant Services.

First- and second-year groups from the Basic Vocational Training Programme in Cooking and Catering also took part. As part of the project, teacher Patricia Chinea, from the Language Department, contributed to the promotion and dissemination of cultural heritage together with second-year students. The involvement of the teaching team from the Services Department should also be highlighted, made up of Amador Lado, Meritxell Rosell and Tay Alvarado, who played an active role in the coordination and delivery of the service.
