Their Majesties the Three Kings of the East arrived in Adeje today by helicopter, landing at the town’s Municipal Football Ground before an audience of several hundred children and families. Although the weather forecast threatened storms, the arrival of Their Majesties went ahead with only a few drops of rain. On arrival, they were welcomed by the Mayor of Adeje, who presented them with the city’s magic key, enabling them to enter all homes and deliver their gifts on the most eagerly awaited night of the year.

The Mayor led the official reception, saying, “the people of Adeje welcome you to our municipality and thank you for coming once again to bring us excitement, joy and hope, all of which help us to become better people and a better community. I believe the children of this municipality have behaved well, and so have the people of Adeje, and therefore we deserve to enjoy the magic that you bring and share with us. On behalf of the children, and of everyone who shares life in this place called Adeje, an open and welcoming municipality, I thank you, I welcome you, and I present you with this key that opens all doors, but above all opens all hearts, towards the best of ourselves, as a community and as people, with the excitement and hope of a better world.”

The reception was also attended by the Councillor for Culture, Adolfo Alonso, the Councillor for Education, Coraima Afonso, and by Noa and Rodrigo, who read a few words of welcome addressed to Their Majesties. Following the official act, the Kings began their journey through Adeje in the traditional parade, accompanied by a procession of animated characters, music and dance groups that filled the early evening with colour and rhythm. Throughout the parade, and at the end of the day, 1,000 kilos of gluten-free jelly sweets, 1,700 cones of assorted sweets, 2,000 lollipops and 30 kilos of chewy sweets were distributed, allowing the public to enjoy the Kings’ passage along the entire route.

The organisers set up a quiet zone along the parade route, designed for people with high sensitivity or within the autistic spectrum, as well as a reserved and adapted area for people with reduced mobility, with the aim of ensuring that the celebration could be enjoyed in an inclusive way.

The parade made its way along Calle Grande, with Their Majesties travelling on their floats, and concluded at the Church of Santa Úrsula, where they paid homage to the baby Jesus. Afterwards, the Kings moved on to Plaza de España where, seated on their thrones, they received children who came to greet them and hand in last-minute letters.

During this final gathering, Their Majesties distributed dental care kits provided by Entemanser, to highlight the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene, especially after eating sweets. For several years, Entemanser has collaborated with Adeje’s Three Kings parade by donating various gifts for children, such as balls or colouring books. On this occasion, the contribution focused on promoting healthy habits linked to personal care.
