Who is in charge of delegating?

Making sure we’re all pulling our weight at home

Now is a good time to get some equality into the housework detail if you haven’t done so already!

1. Share housework duties:  It’s important that everyone in the home, men and women and older children too, take on their fair share of household duties in an equal way, and women, if they are usually ‘in charge’ of the housework, should be in charge of delegating.
2.
3. Make sure the information you are reading and sharing about the virus is from reliable and official sources only, whether it is about vulnerable groups, gender differences, etc.
4. Read and share stories about women – take this time to learn more about the work women have done to change to world.
5. Discuss gender equality in the family.  This is a good opportunity to have a family chat about the role of women in the world and about equality of opportunity.
6. You can be active remotely! Share truthful information on social media about the situation of women during the current crisis, report on the scourge of cases of domestic violence and gender killings.
7. Help the cause. The expansion of Covid.19 had has a huge impact globally on women who make up 70% of the workers in the social and health sectors in the world.  It is important to stay informed about the measures that you are asked to follow, to stop the spread and reduce the impact on the economy by helping an earlier return to work
8. Take care of your mental health.  While taking the above recommendations into consideration you should also disconnect from news and social media for a while every day, and make sure there is a fair share of housework being done by all members of the family-
