Screening of “Mi querida cofradía” (My Dear Brotherhood).
Synopsis: Carmen has spent more than 30 years devoting herself to the brotherhood in her village, and her dream is to become its head, something still utopian in a social circle that remains largely male-dominated. After a vote, Ignacio is elected head of the brotherhood and, following an unfortunate accident, Carmen leaves him unconscious and has to hide him in her house. Everything becomes more complicated when her daughter argues with her husband, the current mayor of the village, and decides to return to her mother’s home.

On this journey, we will explore the role of women in politics, in artisanal work and in the fight to preserve a rich and diverse culture. We will learn how their legacy remains alive in the memory of Granadilla, reflecting not only its past but also a present built with courage and resilience.
